While in the remaining third, a double-height living area amplifies light and the connection to the garden.

The project explores the transformation of an ordinary architecture, introducing a sense of spatial generosity within a constrained and standardized envelope. The original pavilion was modest in scale and simply built, with an unclear layout. Its straightforward proportions and direct relationship to the garden nevertheless offered a solid basis to work from. The project extends the pavilion and rethinks its organization while preserving this underlying quality. The intervention is articulated through two complementary gestures. Inside, a complete reworking of the interior clarifies the structure and opens up a double-height volume. An independent timber structure allows for the insertion of a habitable upper level within what was originally a single-storey space, without impacting the existing foundations. Outside, the volume is extended by 2.5 meters toward the garden; a strip of glass blocks marks the transition between the existing building and the extension, bringing diffuse light into the heart of the plan.
