Over two years, we worked to preserve the spirit of these houses designed by Alain Amédéo, while adapting them to the lives of their new inhabitants.
The project explores how a remarkable architecture can evolve without losing its identity, balancing modernity, context, and craftsmanship.
A masonry and timber pergola extends the original silhouette and creates a shaded rooftop space, while the interiors open up, continuing the fluid circulation of the initial design.
Materials remain simple — rough masonry, canal tiles, timber frames, pine furniture — forming a rustic language inspired by the mazets of Provence.
Large openings and green metal structures contrast with this simplicity and frame the surrounding landscape.
