The project concerns the rehabilitation of an old building in central Marseille, intended for seasonal rental. In a context of housing scarcity, the intervention seeks to avoid over-specialization by reinforcing domestic qualities and maintaining a plan capable of accommodating different forms of occupation.
The project builds on the existing structure. On the envelope, it improves the building through the creation of a courtyard-facing terrace on the top floor, the reconstruction of damaged balconies, and thermal upgrading.
Existing elements are preserved as much as possible to maintain the character of the building.
